Aero Distress Traffic




OVERVIEW:



Aero distress traffic is fictious or taken from procedure books.
NATO aircrafts under tactical callsigns are on search and rescue frequencies but in aviation working frequency has prioriority for distress purposes.
In the USSR special 2232 kHz series frequencies were used for regional Aero Distress Network. Aircrafts were equipped with small distress radiostation with kite and small helium baloon.
