I will not weep; I will not sigh.
I'll always look to God on high,
And thank him for his love for me
That gives me life eternally,
Without my God I could not live
He every breath to me does give,
He gives me a precious sight
And keeps me walking in the light,
|

 |
| |
Now, Lord, when You return for me
Just let my heart be pure and free,
Just take me from this miry clay
And mould me, Lord, in Thine own way...
Through all the years of toil and strife
Lord, help me live the kind of life,
So that my spirit may be free
To go when You return for me,
|

 |
| |
Through every day through every hour
I can feel Your mighty power,
I know I have not lived in vain
You go but to return again,
He cheers me up when I feel sad
He speaks to me and makes me glad,
To know He is my truest friend
And on His love I can depend,
|

 |
| |
He comes to me in darkest night
He speaks the word that brings me light,
Of future joys that are to be
When my Lord returns for me,
I know some day that I shall see
My Lord when He returns for me,
I shall look upon His face
Another sinner saved by grace,
And ever, Lord, my song shall be,
"You've set my captive spirit free."
Freed me from cares that weighed me down,
Rewards me with a robe and crown,
|

 |
| |
I know the days will quickly pass
I know the end will come at last,
I thank my Lord I'm on that road
I'm on my way to His abode,
The Book of Life He'll open wide
I thank my God I've naught to hide,
I left it all at Calvary
And now, my Lord, I come to thee.
