orn; January 22nd, Aquarius (so life should start in the New Millennium which is also the Age of Aquarius) in a Norwich terraced house near the St. Augustines swimming pool. Began to learn the Trombone at High-school in 1971 and joined the Reepham Town Brass-Band in 1972/3. Was invited to play for a dance/swing band and earned his first `music-wage` playing `Miller `and `Ellington`. Also played in a military band for a short time as a stand-in trombonist. Left brass-bands (and the Trombone) behind due to the lack of `musical variability` in 1981/2 after the Reepham Band had their first-win in a National Competition.
