General Information - Rafting
Pescados river, Veracruz
Running right through Jalcomulco (Ver.), pescados river surely is one of the most fun and exciting raft runs that our country offers, due to its natural configuration. This river offers more than 35 clas III and IV rapids, with an approximate running time of three hours either by raft or kayac. Set inside a canyon of impressive natural beauty, surrounded by reed fields, coffee plantations and mango trees, it's one of the most beautiful Veracruz landscapes combined with all the adrenaline that the sport offers. Season: All year.
Antigua river, Veracruz
The Antigua river is an excellent complement of the Pescados river, because it offers an introduction to rafting, to learn it an live it intensely. A trip full of fun that lasts about four hours with class III and IV rapids. season: July to November
Filo-Bobos river, Veracruz
This is a magical trip. You travel the river among totonanca ruins, visiting 2 archeological zones in the middle of beautifil natural landscapes. This wonderful river class II and III takes us to the Cascada del Encanto ("charm" waterfall), which really lives up to its name. Also, you can swim in the fresh crystalline waters around this gorgeous waterfall. Season: July to November
Actopan river, Veracruz
This is one of the most beautiful rivers of Mexico, because of its spectacular setup among mountains and its clear waters. A soft, class II river ideal for all ages, all 11 kms. of it, surrounded by mango plantations and waterfalls. The trip duration is about 3 hours. Season: All year
Barranca Grande, Veracruz
A white water adventure for those that become really passionate for rafting. For experts only we offer this extreme adventure of continuous rapids type IV and V either on raft or kayac. Season: October to January
Santa Maria river, San Luis Potosi
This wonderful river is located in the magical Huasteca Potosina, with the most amazing turquoise a river can show, exhuberant vegetation, impressive canyons and paradisiacal landscapes.
This river offers class III rapids, plus a unique rappel descent right by the wondelful Tamul Waterfall (110m). In trips longer than two days we can have an exciting adventure on nearby Micos Waterfalls, and a visit to one of the most incredible bird sanctuaries, The Swallows Cellar (Sotano de las Golondrinas). You will be able to enjoy the ritual that thousands of birds perform when they come and leave this wonderful sanctuary, that only a priviledged few have had the chance to see. Season: November to March.
Papagayo river, Acapulco, Guerrero.
Only one hour from Acapulco harbor. Nature brings you the opportunity of rafting in the Papagayo river, surrounded by tropical vegetation, exciting class III rapids, available to all ages. Season: October to January
Amacuzac river, Guerrero
Two hours from Mexico City and under the beautiful Cacahuamilpa grottoes lies Dos Bocas, where the Chontalcoatlan and San Jeronimo underground rivers emerge. This is where the Amacuzac river is born. This section, from Dos Bocas to the Ixtla Bridge, is known as the Higher Amacuzac. It offers class II & III rapids through a beautiful virgin canyon, making it one of the most panoramic journeys in the country.
The section known as the Lower Amacuzac offers exciting class III & IV rapids, and at its convergence with the Yautepec river you can stop for a snack in front of an impressive class VI rapid. The trip duration in both sections lasts for about 4 hours.
Season: All year, but best between July & September.
