Hi Angler's

Sorry I missed last week, things still haven't got back to normal yet.

Angler's who didn't get cap badges and shields please give me a ring , some have arrived, and I need to know how many more to order.

I have quite a few queries regarding next years dates, as angler are booking their accommodation etc.

The dates for the 41st Kariba International Tiger Fish Tournament are Wednesday 2nd, Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th October 2002.

The Test of the Best is Friday 1st March and Saturday 2nd March 2002.

The Tiger Kids Competition is the 23rd February 2002.

Great news on the home front Bank angling is taking off , anyone interested or interested in getting your children involved pop along to Mount Pleasant Sports Club on Wednesday (7) evening after work, there will be a talk on Bank angling and the way forward followed by a social braai. Phone Johnny Rodrigues for further details on 011603213. Come don't miss out on fishing just because you don't have a boat.

The Bank angling team are holding a Golf day at Mount Pleasant Sports Club on Sunday 18th November 2001. It will be great fun and lots of prizes, once again contact the Club for a tee-off time.

Now into December.
Caribbea Bay are holding an All Species Tournament. The Tournament will be on Saturday 1 December 2001 , lines wet at 7h00 and the weigh in between 16h00 and 17h00. Its a great break away package $ 16 000,00 Full Board for the whole stay plus the Hire of a Boat. (Rates for angler's with their own boats can be arranged.) Accommodation Only is free for spouses and kids if sharing with the participant. Re fueling and Tackle are for the Participants account.
The week-end starts off with Dinner on Friday Night - Casino (Doubling up vouchers)
Saturday 0600 - 0700 Breakfast - Fishing between 0700 and 1600 weigh in between 1600 and 1700 followed by prize giving and Dinner at 1900 accompanied by entertainment. Sunday Breakfast and check out. Scoring will be on the National scoring basis with the National limits. There will be an unlimited bag.

The biggest fish won by Tony Rigby of 8.815 kg Well done Tony.

The winning Team ULTC Famous Grouse - Roger MacDonald , Glyn King, Dave Donkin and R J Hutchinson

Second Place - Kariba Angling Remmington Gold A - Peter Lawson, Colin Osborne, Quinton Le Roux and Warren Dewdney

Third Place - Bromley Dagga Boys - Gordon Banks, Danie Palmer, Chris Barker and Allan Banks

Our top Lady was Patsy Browell with 31,780kg and the Biggest fish by a lady was Charmaine Wheeler 8,000kg. Those Wheeler men know how to pick the best lady angler's.

Our top Angler was Peter Lawson on 89.100 kg

It was great to see a team that was invited to fish in last years Test of the Best, take 9th Place this year RSA South Coast , followed by RSA Ugezi Tiger Lodge in 10th Place.
It's been a long time since we have had two International teams make the Test of the Best.

Top club ( this is three scores to count ) went to Kariba Angling Society. Well done to my angler's.
