This is, quite simply, one of the best science fiction films of all time. This is the classic tale that spawned many sequels, which are okay (Aliens is right up there with it--a classic in its own right), that are no match for the originality and freshness this film brought with it to the film industry. Do yourself a favour--don't miss this film. If you've seen it, see it again. Remind yourself of how wonderful it truly is.
Rated R for language, violence, and sci-fi gore.
