This entertaining installment in the Star Trek series picks up directly where Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan left off. The Genesis planet is the source of much controversy all over the galaxy. Some Klingons want its information, the Federation has a select scientific crew studying it, and the crew of the Enterprise wants to go back. The spirit of Spock resides, now, in Dr. McCoy (DeForest Kelley). It is believed that Spock may have been effected by the Genesis wave when his body landed in the torpedo pod on the planet. However, the Federation has deemed the Enterprise as de-commissioned. Of course, Admiral James T. Kirk (William Shatner) won't let that stand in his way . . .

Of course, my main problem with this film is that it seems to me that they could have expanded a little bit more on the Klingon's involvement in the story. It just seemed as though they had too little a part or importance. Their importance could have been elaborated upon a bit more.
