Welcome to my rap hangout! In the beginning I use to only listen to eastcoast rappers but now I have growned to listen to all the others as well. After all, I'm from the south and all my friends would hate me if I didn't like the south!
I buy close to 20 lps in a year so you can expect a ton of info reviews over some of the best rappers around. So if ya wanna know if the latest lp is hot or not you need to drop by this site regularly.
Jay-Z: Hard Knock of Life Vol.2
While Jay-Z may have been overlooked in the beginning of his career, he is now looked as one of the decades best!! He can rap almost anystyle at any given pace! He truly define what rap is all about. His second Lp was about a +**** which is excellent. But it seems he has even exceeded that greatness. Simply put, this Lp is a must have title! This is one of those cds that almost every track couldn't have been a single. Collaborations on this Lp comes from all different styles and places. And no they don't take the spotlight off of Jay-Z...they just make the spotlight even brighter! *****
Jay-Z: Life and Times of S. Carter Vol.3
What happens when an artist releases one of the best lps of the decade adn plans to release another lp a year later? He makes that LP just as tight as the last one....thats what!!! How you top a 10? Well, actaully you can't so how about make another 10 Lp? And that's just what Jay-Z did! The only thing different bout this Lp is that it has 4 timbaland tracks oppossedto last years 2. Every track explodes with hot lyrics, guest appearances, and incredible beats! Like on his tracks says" Its hot!" *****

This Third Lp is really the first of 2cds that will be released in '99. This Lp has lotsa variety which may surprise many, from symphony music of "hate me now" to the harp music in "money is my bitch". Like Jay-Z "hard knock life" lp, Nas tries to make every track a classic! Take note of the track "Big Things". Is it me or is Nas flowin southside style now!!!??? Nice! Nas still has his huge vocabulary that shines. Despite all the controvery, the Lp has sold pretty well....platinum if not double....however many people missed out on this lp becuase of the misunderstanding of what the video "hate me now" represented. Nas doesn't think he is God. He showing people that why many of us calim to be christians we still hate on each other.......especially the ones that make it big! *****

And just as Nas promised here is the second cd of the 2 cd set. People are still commenting over "I am" and Nas drops his fourth lp. Some of the symbols and pictures are similar to "I am". Forexample, look at the back of both Lps and you will notice both show a side view picture of Nas. One with nas living it big and the other with a hood over his head. The same goes for the front cover. Now don't think that Nas went and threw this lp together in a few months cause he didn't. This Lp takes it back to the street with tracks like "Life we choose" and "Project windows". But most importantly that lyrical and poetic shines more in this lp than any other. While the beats are hot it seems more focus was put on lyrics which isn't a bad idea. Some people maybe lookin for a hot beat and maybe disappointed that the focus this time around was lyrics but don't write this Lp off.....it still genius and has the Nas seal of approval! ^_^ +****
