The purpose of the unorganized militia is to protect life, liberty, community, local, state, & national infrastructure & to assist the lawful authorities of the state & nation in time of crisis.
Designated Marksmen/Sniper Section
MILITIA Lake County MI 2nd Brigade
5th Division is "made up" of eight MILITIA member(s). Able bodied citizens 18 - 60 years of age from Lake County MI whom have achieved LEVEL 2 & PASSED SNIPER SCHOOL Mecosta County MI.
The eight MILITIA member(s) demonstrated the skills necessary to be trained as rural scout(s), designated marksmen & sniper(s) capable of conducting independent action(s) in civilian environments during operations other than war. All member(s) are required to purchase & maintain their own precision rifles, uniforms, equipment and attend one four hour training session & one 24 hour training session a month.
Designated Marksmen/Sniper Section operates as rural scout(s) designated marksmen & sniper(s) within Lake County Michigan 2nd Brigade 5th Division boundaries. The basic organization is 2 man sniper team(s), &
4 man fire team(s) trained to conduct independent actions in civilian environments during operations other than war. Using the 2 man sniper team & 4 man fire team concept the designated marksman, scout sniper teams are less likely to be detected, simplifies operational tactics & logistics.
Each team is given the maximum amount of freedom in planning, information gathering, reporting & conducting actions. Designated Marksman/Sniper Section team(s) are employed to gather information, deliver precision rifle fire in support of the brigade, rifle company, & rifle platoon(s) & are capable of conducting independent action(s) in 2 & 4 man team(s). Each member of the Sniper Section is trained to operate alone should the mission(s) & action(s) require it.
The member(s) are at their best when they operate in 2 man snipers team(s) & four man team(s) made up of member(s) who know, trust each other, training together regularly to maintain their skills. Most of the training is done on member(s) property allowing them to have practiced defensive plan(s) of their property(s). The member(s) action(s) arouse less suspicion since the member(s) are training in small team(s) & are normally seen together in other activities through out the year providing a cover for their action(s). By operating in Lake County MI 2nd Brigade 5th Division boundaries ensures that the member(s) know & are familiar with the area in which they live & conduct action(s) & are known to the local citizen(s) which helps the member(s) to "blend in"
