Now I suppose that Sade sticks out on my page like a sore thumb.  She doesn't sound like anything else I listen to.  But I've liked Sade ever since I was a little girl.  I remember seeing the video for "Smooth Operator" on tv and just being amazed by her, taken aback by her beauty, style and grace.

The thing that I like the most about Sade is her voice. It's absolutely breathtaking.  When you're listening to her, it's easy to see that she really feels what she is singing about.  There is so much inside of her and it all comes out beautifully when she sings. Every emotion she feels, everything in her heart, you can feel it and relate to it when you listen to her words.  And even the mood of the music is so intense that it acts as a hypnotic device taking you to some other place and time. You don't have to be a huge fan of soul, jazz, or r&b to listen to Sade.  If you can appreciate great music and a beautiful voice, you would love her.

If you're interested in hearing some Sade, I suggest that you get her Best Of album. It has all of her most popular songs such as "Sweetest Taboo", "Smooth Operator", "Paradise", and "No Ordinary Love" which was covered by the one and only Deftones (very well I must say).

In 2000, Sade released her first album in eight years called Lover's Rock.  I think that title pretty much sums up Sade and her music; the soundtrack for lovers.
