TREASURES OF CENTRAL EUROPE - 10 Days - August 3-12, 1999

Here I am on the grounds of the Schonbrunn Palace in Vienna, Austria

This tour included Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Austria and included Berlin, Dresden, Prague, Vienna and Budapest. One unexpected delight on this tour was the viewing of the last total eclipse of the sun in this millennium. We witnessed this historic event in Alland, Austria, just outside of Vienna, at 12:40 p.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 1999. (This trip cost $2,181 per person)

More information about what we saw and did can be found on the EF Tours web site (click on "Treasures of Central Europe" below). However, note that we altered the itinerary to include Berlin and exclude Munich and Heidleberg. While in the EF website, click on to any underlined city for a link to a European web site and a virtual tour of that city.
