Commissioned Officers
Have a vote in all procedural matters. Require at least two officer recommendations on two separate occasions for promotion.


SECOND LIEUTENANT (2LT)
(Addressed as "Lieutenant")
Typically the entry-level rank for most Commissioned Officers. Leads elements consisting of (1-4 soldiers). Must have served at least twelve games over a period of four CTF events.

FIRST LIEUTENANT (1LT)

(Addressed as "Lieutenant")
A seasoned lieutenant with at least four games of service as a Second Lieutenant. Typically involved in border management with squads of (1-3 soldiers).

CAPTAIN (CPT)
(Addressed as "Captain")
Commands and controls squads (1-3 soldiers), together with a principal NCO assistant. Normally has served at least six games over a period of two events as a First Lieutenant.

MAJOR (MAJ)

(Addressed as "Major")
Serves as primary Staff Officer for brigade and task force command regarding personnel, logistical and operational missions. Normally has served for at least two games as a Captain.

LIEUTENANT COLONEL (LTC)

(Addressed as "Lieutenant Colonel " or "Colonel")
Typically commands squads of (1-2 soldiers), with a CSM as principal NCO assistant. May also be selected for brigade and task force Executive Officer.  Typically has served at least one event as a Major.

COLONEL (COL)
(Addressed as "Colonel")
Typically commands brigade-sized units (3,000 to 5,000 Soldiers), with a Master Sergeant as principal NCO assistant. Also found as the overseer of prison affairs.Usually has served 1-2 events as a Lieutenant Colonel.

BRIGADIER GENERAL (BG)

(Addressed as "General")
Serves as Deputy Commander to the commanding general for Army divisions. Assists in overseeing the staff's planning and coordination of a mission. Usually has served in 10 games over a period of three or more events as a Colonel.

MAJOR GENERAL (MG)
(Addressed as "General")
Typically commands any number of troops, serves as acting GOA if the current GOA is taken prisoner. Typically this person has served in at least 12 games over a period of four or more events as Brigadier General.

GENERAL OF THE ARMY (GOA)

(Addressed as �General�)
This is the highest rank in CTF. A General of The Army is responsible for all the troops under his command. Has normally served in four or more events as a Major General. And must recieved a majority vote from all Commissioned and Non-Commissioned Officers.
