In return for shaving his head on TV, Jeremy received the opportunity to announce one match on Nitro. He could pick the match & pick the announcer he wanted to replace. It took place on Labor Day 2000, and he chose to replace Scott Hudson during the triple-cage match called War Games 2000. It was a match that Jeremy had pitched to the creative team & was very proud of. Less than an hour before Nitro started, Scott Hudson found out his wife went into labor & flew back to Atlanta. Jeremy learned he would be announcing the entire show. He was very nervous, but did a very good job. He also announced the following Thunder in Scott Hudson's place.
