Letitia's Music
Something Outta Nothing
Duet with Eastenders co-star Paul Medford
Letitia recorded the single as a B-side to Anita Dobson's "Anyone Can Fall In Love" (to the theme of Eastenders). Letitia duetted on "Something Outa Nothing" with her co-star Paul J Medford (who played Kelvin Carpenter) when she was just 17 in November 1986. It was performed on Eastenders as part of a storyline featuring The Banned - a band formed for the sake of a talent contest.
It peaked at number 12, but Letitia acknowledges it wasn't the greatest musical achievement....
I claim no ownership over the content - it remains, as always, copyright of the BBC

With thanks to Dean Farrow for uncovering it for me at TV Cream

Reads:A pop career once beckoned. Letitia & former co-star Paul J Medford sang "Something Outa Nothing" which got into the Top 20 in November 1986. "I'm amazed people still remember it." says Letitia.
Watch Letitia discuss "Something Outta Nothing" on Richard & Judy
Note The 7" record is widely available on eBay for very reasonable prices

I'm hoping to transcribe the lyrics of Something Outa Nothing to this site very soon. My version is however of poor quality, so if any of you can help, please email me
You Taught Me Everything I Know
Duet with big brother, Stephen
OK, I admit, I have no idea about any of the details of this collaboration, but look, there's the proof! (Thanks Laura @ IAL!) Don't they look gorgeous? My guess by the picture that's been used of Letitia is that this was recorded in the 80's.

I do know people have bought this record, but I have yet to hear it.
If anyone out there can help me with that, please e-mail me

Like "Something Outta Nothing", it is sometimes listed on eBay. I
do plan to get hold of a copy, if only to transcribe the lyrics for you!
And if anyone can get hold of a copy of The Eastenders Sing-Along, (I obtained my cassette through eBay) note a hilarious rendition of
"
Ship Ahoy! (All the Nice Girls Love a Sailor)"
from Letitia on the first side!

All the Nice Girls Love a Sailor
~*~
All the nice girls love a sailor,
All the nice girls love a tar;
For there's something about a sailor-
Well, you know what sailors are!
Bright and breezy, free and easy,
He's the ladies' pride and joy.
Falls in love with Kate and Jane,
Then he's off to sea again --
Ship Ahoy! Ship Ahoy!
