| Vivi is a black mage who travelled to Alexandria hoping to watch the play 'I Wanna Be Your Canary'. However, in a strange mixup, he ends up joining Zidane and his friends. He has powerful destructive magic, which is shared by others like him, those who are used by Queen Brahne as tools of war. Vivi begins to wonder why he, and only he is a black mage with a soul. |

Personal Opinion: Vivi is a weak attacker, and more of a support member. When coupled with Steiner, Steiner can perform powerful attacks. However, when I found later that Steiner's swordtech attacks are more powerful than sword magic and use less MP, I used Vivi less. He is useful when attacking elemental monsters or groups because of his magic. |

LightSoul: Then explain why I have been turned into an imp, attacked by piggy magic, missed with a massive magic attack and even got attacked by a Deadly Fingertip attack? (See Amazing LightSoul #252, 255, 379 and 390 respectively-Historic Harry) |
