Mission of 5/6RVR Pipes & Drums

The mission of the Pipes and Drums is twofold:

• To provide support to 5/6 RVR by supplying music for parades, remembrance services, special functions, mess dinners and other varied taskings (that may extend to the wider RVR family, the Australian Defence Force, and the civilian community).

• To provide support to 5/6 Bn as soldiers within Administration Company. To support this, each individual is encouraged to pursue their personal training and development in their respective position as rifleman, storeman, mechanic, cook, driver, clerk, or medical assistant. Realities of the demands on individual's time are appreciated and some flexibility is granted by the Commanding Officer.
