A young Lady was waiting for her flight at the boarding gate in a
large airport...
As she would need to wait many hours...She decided to buy a book to
spend her time. SHE also bought a pack of cookies.
She sat down in an arm chair in the VIP room of the airport to rest....
and read in peace.
Beside the arm chair where the cookies lay, a man sat down in the next
seat and opened his magazine and started reading...
When she reached and took out the first cookie....
The man reached and took one also.
She felt irritated and said nothing.... she just though:
"WHAT A NERVE, If I was in the mood, I would punch him for daring!!"
For every cookie she took, the man would also take one too,
This was infuriating her... but she didn't want to cause a scene...
But, WHEN there was only one cookie left, she thought:
"Ahhh, WHAT is this abusive man going to do now!"
The man took the last cookie, divided it in half, giving her one half.
THAT WAS TOO MUCH! In a huff, she gathered her book and belongings
and stormed to the boarding gate!
When she sat down in her seat on board the plane, she looked into her
purse to pull out her eyeglasses, and, to her SURPRISE, there were
her package of cookies, UNOPENED, and UNTOUCHED!
The man ... divided and shared his cookies with her,
without feeling angered or bitter....
while she felt very angry thinking she was dividing her cookies with HIM!
NOW, there was no way to explain herself... nor to apologize.
THERE are FOUR things you Can't Take BACK..
Nor can you ever RECOVER...
