Meal Powder

Here is a brief description of how I make my meal powder.

First you weigh out:

75g KNO3

15g Charcoal

10g Sulfur

Now Mill the KNO3 and Sulfur for 30-45 mins depending on your ball mill. This is called "green meal"

Here is my mill with the jar, media and Charcoal to be milled

Once the KNO3 and Sulfur have milled, you will need to mill your charcoal for another 30-45 mins. I use pine charcoal  because I haven't bothered to go and chop a few willow branches.

Here is the media, jar and charcoal.

Here is a contraption I made to separate my media from what I have milled, It consists of 2 ice cream containers, 1 to collect the powder and the other one has the bottom cut out and some fly-wire has been stapled in its place. It is also good for roughly sorting out pulverone gains

And here is green meal and air float charcoal. Now put these both in your milling jar and mill for 3-4 hours. I mill mine for about 3 and a half hours and it turns out OK.

Here we have the meal powder and media being separated.

And the final product, 100g of meal powder.

This is good for end burning rockets, fuse, drivers and a couple other applications. However, for it to be used for lift, break etc it must be pressed and corned or made into pulverone, I don't have a page on pressing or corning. I do have one on pulverone *here*

*Here* is a short train of meal being tested
