Pros

I really like this DC, especially for the fact that Fuji can fit so many function in such a tiny DC is amazing. The DC felt excellent. It's not too light but solid enough so that you can get a good feel when holding it. You can operate it with either one hand or both hands. But of course, if you want to take good pictures, then you should hold it with both hands for a steady shot.

I have to mention that this is a really solid and well built camera. Once I accidentally dropped it onto the ground. I am 6'1", standing straight up with my hand holding the DC at about the height of my chest, so I think that's a good 5' height from the ground. My DC was in a small cotton bag with no padding. The second I dropped it, I was thinking: "Sh*t! I dropped my DC, hope that it won't break". And when I picked it up with worries on my mind. I am happy and surprise to see that it suffer NO damage at all. I can't even tell where is the point of impact on my DC~?! I immediately took some test shots to find out that there is NOTHING wrong it. Oh boy, THAT'S a solid camera. My DC survived a 5' drop straight onto the ground. I won't try it with other DC with plastic case. (Actually, I wouldn't want to try it on ANY at all, hehe~)

The retractable sense and lens cover is really functional and continent cause you don't have to worry about ever losing your lens cover and it automatically closes to protect your lens.

The start time (the time from you pressing the power button to the time that you can take pictures) and time between shots are quite good. I've noticed that it's even faster than a lot of the DC today.

The 3X optical zoom comes into handy a lot of times. (Of course I wish for more, who wouldn't?! But I think a 3X is more like a minimum requirement) But paid attention that the longer you zoom in, the more steady your camera has to be, especially in low light or night shots.

The battery life is excellent without the extensive use of the LCD. The LCD can really drain your power quick. And you need the LCD for longer time (it will turn on when using continuous shots, movie mode, night shots and macro shots), bring extra batteries.

Good numbers of pictures when using with the stock 16MB Smart Media card (which actually only stores about 12MB *worth* of pictures because it also store many camera info along with each picture). I've bought a SanDisk 64MB SM card to add to the storage space which allow me to use higher resolution and be able to take more pictures.

Retractable flash is included. You have to press a button on the left side of the DC and the flash *pops* up. When not in case, you just have to press it back in and it will fits nicely into the DC.

There is a round backlit LCD display that tells you information about the shooting mode, resolution and quality, flash mode, self-timer status, etc. It quite useful in dark situation. And the 4 directional buttons makes it easy to change settings.

There is a quick switch on the back of the DC for switch between camera mode and play mode. It comes into handy when you need to review pictures after shots when you are not using the LCD.

The USB connection is SUPER fast. On some site, they said it's the fastest out there.

I have happy with the picture quality and it reproduce excellent color. Some people say the pictures are on the soft side of the scale. But I think it's looks ok to me. I did notice a little more noise than some other DC, especially in ISO 800 setting. I think this comes with the package of the super CCD. Since I don't *blow up* picture and examine them pixel-by-pixel on the computer screen. I think the picture still looks enough.

I played around with some of the manual function to alter the result of shots. Sometimes its useful and can actually gives you a better pictures. But I usually need to shoot the same picture a couple of times with different setting cause I don't know exactly how the results will be at the time of photographing. But its fun.
