Event Information

The Battle of Cynthiana living history weekend will recreate the 1862 skirmish when Confederate cavalry leader John Hunt Morgan drove the Federal garrison from the city and captured much needed supplies. It will also present a period encampment of Civil War soldiers, and other activities to recall the greatest crisis in United States history.

The event will take place Saturday and Sunday, June 20 & 21, and will be located at the Elks Lodge Farm (on US 62 East).

Battles will be reenacted on Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 2 p.m., while soldiers will conduct drills for the public on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
