Cars 5, 6, 7, 19, 20, 21, 22 are fitted with air connections for use with Winter Saloon Trailer 58. Winter Saloon Trailer 57 lost it's air brake equipment during the course of it's last major overhaul.
Car 9 was fitted with Illuminations in 1993 for the MER Centenary, of which it retains today.
Car 10 rebuilt into Goods motor car in 1904, again rebuilt into goods trailer in 1920. Exists today as restored stored van No. 26
Car 22’s bodywork was destroyed by fire in Sept 1990. The bodywork was rebuilt by Mc Cards of Port Erin in 1992.
Cars 14, 15, 17, 28, 29 are stored unserviceable at the former Homefield Bus Works, Douglas.
Car 30 is currently stored at Ramsey Depot out of service.
Car 18 is stored unserviceable at Derby Castle.
Trailers 36, 50, 53 & 54 are stored unserviceable at the former Homefield Bus Works, Douglas.
Trailer 51 was rebuilt to its 1894 condition in 1987, but with roof. Now renumbered as No. 13
Trailer 52 was used with roof and seats removed as a bogie flat wagon each Winter for many years, but reassembled for seasonal use. With the general availability of trailer 59 for service purposes after 1940 , trailer 52 was no longer needed to make up the total of 25 trailers and became permanently allocated to engineering duties.
Trailer 55 is currently stored unserviceable at Ramsey Depot.
Trailer 56 rebuilt 1994/95 as a special saloon and fitted with sides, glazing, wheelchair hoist, dynamo and de-mountable seating as a disabled access car with wheelchair hoist.
Trailer 59 originally built as a 4-wheel Royal Saloon but later rebuilt as a bogie saloon
