A Spirit of Light . . . Mother
You never said I'm Leaving,
You never said goodbye,
You were gone before we knew it and only God knows why;
A million times we've needed you, a million times we've cried, If love alone could have saved you.  You never would've died;  In life we loved you dearly, In death we love you still, In our hearts there is a place, That only you could fill.  It hurt us so to lose you, But you didn't go alone, For part of us went with you, the day that you went home.

Friendship hath the skill and observation of the best physician, the diligence and vigilance of the best nurse, and the tenderness and patience of the best mother.
The last photo taken with my Mother.  We celebrated our last Thanksgiving together in November, 1998.

No Language can express the power and beauty and heroism and majesty of a Mother's love.
It shrinks not where man cowers, and grows stronger where man faints ...
I'm not sure when this photo was taken.
I'm sure it was probably taken in a studio.
I think she'd be married to Daddy by this time, only because she looks older than eighteen here.
