Books by Gene Stratton Porter

While considered romance novels, the books by Gene Stratton Porter are actually very good books that show a huge love of nature and of God. Also, the love that the characters find in the books is true love, not the cheap version that the world sells. So, while they are often about love, it is a true, and Godly, love; a love that no young man should be ashamed to say he is striving to exemplify in his life.      -Editor

The Keeper of the Bees

This is the story of the adventures of a young, wounded World War One veteran, who runs away from the hospitial where he is awaiting death. He finds healing and health in God, nature, and helping others instead of himself.

Laddie

This is my favorite book by Stratton-Porter. It is ingeniously written from the eyes of eight year old "Little Sister," which can be quite humorous, and simple, but never un-intelligent. This is a story about a whole family, as they learn, or are reminded, of what true love is, in every shape and form.

CF-BK038 - $12.95

Freckles

A tale of honor and courage, about an orhpaned young man who takes to protecting the Limberlost Swamp from lumber thieves, and along the way wins the hearts of everyone he comes in contact with.

A Girl of the Limberlost

Elnora is a young girl who loves nature & music, and wants an education. Through hard work she overcomes the obsticles of poverty, and a mother who blames her for the death of her father. Along the way she finds friendship, true love, and regains the love of her mother.

Books by G.A. Henty

If you are looking for good, Christian, historical fiction, look no farther! Henty’s books are both well written and amazingly acurate in the history they present. The heroes in these books are young men who exemplify character traits that every Christian young man should posess; like courage, honesty, loyalty, dedication, and purity.

Each book is a very well written story, with enough adventure and plot to satisfy readers of any level. They are also so historicly accurate that without much work they could be made into an actual history course for the homeschool.

We are proud to be able to present these heirloom edition books to you. Each one is a hardbound, cloth covered book, with gold stamping, and they will last a lifetime. They are grouped into different parts of history, each part having its own different color of binding. These handsome books will not disappoint the reader, and they will honor anyone’s bookshelf.
