"Country Music is a Woman Thing!"… Mylla

Mylla (pronounced ME-lah) is living proof that the softer side of country is not any less rough or tough than it has to be! Mylla however, looks better in boots and leather than any of her male counterparts! She exemplifies her belief that, "Women have an unique opportunity to do great things in life". Mylla's enthusiastic fans seem to confirm this fact with each new concert that she performs. She packs auditoriums with toe-tapping country music aficionados on two continents and adoring fans, many who've never known country music, don cowboy hats, and proclaim their loyalty to her talent, loveliness and charisma. (Mylla is widely known due to a modeling career, which followed her work with children as an English teacher).

After a stint as a teenage rodeo-roper, Mylla first formed her band and named it Silver Heart. The group is a "genuine 6-Pack" of terrific musicians who've become fast friends. They've blended their talents with unique stylings that reflect both a blend of traditional Western Country and hot and vibrant, South American exuberance! Mylla and Silver Heart have recently been widely acclaimed as having a traditional yet startlingly fresh approach to country that bespeaks it's roots.

Mylla's repertoire includes music by great names like: Lorrie Morgan, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Jodee Messina, Pam Tillis, Dolly Parton (Dolly is Mylla's favorite female vocalist). She also writes and performs her own songs, some of which have been at the top of country music charts in Brazil. Her songs include: Vida Louca (Crazy Life), Quero Ficar Com Você (I Wanna be with You), Fica Comigo, Cowboy! (Stay with me), I loved you at first sight, and her newest recording, One Heartbreak Too Long, by Jim McGuire, Mark Adair and Patty Flansburg.

Mylla takes an active role in myriad social projects that benefit sick and desperately impoverished children. Bringing awareness of education and healthcare needs to her audiences ranks as a high priority. Mylla views Country Music's effort in support of St. Jude's Hospital as very important.

When people compliment her on her great voice, Mylla says: "The strength of my voice is a gift from God, its clarity is the vision He's given me and I feel certain that I must use my talents to benefit those unable to help themselves. Given this knowledge, I feel joy in every song I sing. I continuously look for opportunities to make my gifts a blessing for those most in need of it. Because of this perceived mission, country music is both my adventure and my life".

Mylla's plans include moving to "the Land of Country Music's cradle" to perform for her peers while broadening her base of loyal fans. Mylla has produced a pilot CD simply called "MYLLA". It is her way of introducing you to her music.
