( L )  JDS  -  DENIES THE FULFILLMENT OF PSALMS 22

Next, let us examine the scriptures often cited by people who believe that Jesus died spiritually for sins, Psalms 22.  The 22nd Psalm is in no manner prophetic evidence that Jesus suffered and died spiritually in hell for sins;

1.
My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?
2.  O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.
3.  But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
4.  Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.
5.  They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.
6.
But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.
7.
All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,
8.
He trusted on the Lord that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.
9.  But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts.
10.  I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly.
11.  Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help.
12.  Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.
13.  They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.
14.
I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.
15.
My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.
16.
For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.
17.
I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.
18.
They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.
19. But be not thou far from me, O Lord: O my strength, haste thee to help me.
-  Psalms 22:1-19

Every highlighted passage in red in no way is prophetic of Jesus suffering and dying in hell for sins.  The red passages in Psalms 22 are specifically prophetic in regard to Christ being mocked by the religious leaders, i.e. the chief priests, scribes and elders, and the mocking and suffering by the Roman soldiers and His physical suffering on the cross.  These passages speak specifically and prophetically to the physical sufferings of Jesus at His crucifixion.  Let us read the list of parallel fulfillments of those scriptures which were prophesied in Psalms 22;

( A )   1.  My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?  -  Psalms 22:1

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

45.  Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.
46.  And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
-  Matt. 27:45-46

34.  And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?  -  Mark 15:34

The fulfillment in the gospels of Psalms 22:1 regarding Jesus crying out with the words, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? , was not fulfilled in hell.  The gospels clearly show that this crying out by Jesus occurred only on the cross.  JDS denies this.

-  Psalms 22:6-8

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

27.  Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.
28.
And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.
29.
And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
30.
And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.
31.
And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.  -  Matt. 27:27-31

36.  And sitting down they watched him there;
37.  And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
38.  Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.
39.
And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads,
40.
And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.
41.
Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,
42.
He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.
43.
He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.
44.
The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.
-  Matt. 27:36-44

16.  And the soldiers led him away into the hall, called Praetorium; and they call together the whole band.
17.
And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head,
18.
And began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews!
19.
And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him.
20.
And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him.  -  Mark 15:16-20

29.  And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days,
30.
Save thyself, and come down from the cross.
31.  Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes,
He saved others; himself he cannot save.
32.  Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe.
And they that were crucified with him reviled him. -  Mark 15:29-32

35.  And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying,
He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.
36.
And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar,
37.  And saying,
If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself.
38.  And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
39.  And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.   -  Luke 23:35-39

The fulfillment in the gospels of Psalms 22:6-8 regarding the scorn, reproach, and despising of the people towards Jesus was not fulfilled in hell.  The gospels clearly show that the scorn and words of mockery of the people towards Jesus occurred when He was on the cross.   JDS denies this.

( C )   14.  I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.  -  Psalms 22:14

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

31.  The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
32.  Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him.
33.  But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:
34.  But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and
forthwith came there out blood and water.
35.  And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true,
that ye might believe. -  John 19:28-35

The fulfillment in Johns gospel of Psalms 22:14 regarding being poured out like water is not fulfilled in hell.  The water which was poured out did so from Jesus side when a Roman soldier pierces His side with a spear.  This occurred when Jesus was on the cross and not in hell.  JDS denies this.

( D )   16.  For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.
17.  I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.
18.  They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.
-  Psalms 22:16-18

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

35.  And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.
36.  And sitting down they watched him there;  -  Matt. 27:35-36

48.  And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.
49.
The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.
-  Matt. 27:48-49

54.
Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
55.
And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:
56.  Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee's children.  -  Matt. 27:54-56

24.  And when
they had crucified him, they parted his garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take.  -  Mark 15:24

39.  And when
the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.
40.
There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;
-  Mark 15:39-40

35.
And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.
-  Luke 23:35

47.
Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man.
48.
And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done, smote their breasts, and returned.
49.  And all his acquaintance, and the women that followed him from Galilee, stood afar off,
beholding these things. -  Luke 23:47-49

23.
Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.
24.  They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be:
that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did. -  John 19:23-24

34.  But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.
35.  And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true,
that ye might believe.
36.  For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.
37.
And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.
-  John 19:31-37

The fulfillment in the gospels of Psalms 22:16-18 regarding the piercing of Jesus hands and feet, the crucifixion,  took place on the cross,  not in hell.  The parting of Jesus garments and the casting of lots for his vesture took place during His crucifixion while Jesus was on the cross.   Matthew 27:35 and John 19:24 go so far to specifically write of the direct fulfillment of the prophecy in Psalms 22:18.   None of these occurences took place when Jesus was in hell.   John 19:37 specifically writes of the fulfillment of Psalms 22:16-17.   There simply arent any scriptures that provide this kind of accuracy for a Jesus having to suffer and die spiritually in hell for sins.  The reason is because such an occurrence never took place.

The scriptures of Psalms 22 are specific and plain in relation to the suffering and dying of Jesus Christ for sins as clearly stated and fulfilled in the gospels.  Psalms 22 in no way is a prophecy of Jesus spiritually suffering and dying for sins in hell.  It is Jesus physical suffering at the hands of the Roman soldiers and His crucifixion to which Psalms 22 prophecies.  The suffering and dying for sins of the Lord Jesus Christ were in His physical body, not His Spirit.

Unscripturally trained people who choose to believe that the scriptures teach that Jesus spiritually suffered in hell for sins are in danger of hell themselves and ultimately the everlasting lake of fire unless they repent.  Jesus spiritually suffering and dying for sins in hell is another gospel and thus, those who teach it are cursed according to the first chapter of Galations ( Galations 1:6-9 ).
Jesus spiritually suffering and dying in hell for sins is in direct opposition to the scriptures and thus is in direct opposition to the words of Jesus.  Therefore, whoever chooses not to believe Jesus words are of Satan, not of God ( John 8:42-47 ).
Jesus spiritually suffering and dying for sins in hell is a damnable heresy which brings destruction ( 1 Peter 2:1 ).  Jesus spiritually suffering and dying for sins in hell is a denying of the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ who bought mankind ( 1 Peter 2:1 and Jude 1:4 ).
