( C )   JDS    DENIES THE UNALTERABLE DIVINE NATURE OF JESUS

JDS doctrine claims that as Jesus suffered on the cross His nature changed into the nature of Satan.  No scripture states this.  In addition, some proponents of JDS doctrine even say that Jesus' Spirit had a human nature.  Yet neither is this any where written of in scripture.  There are three specific reasons why Jesus Christ, the Son of God, could never and in truth never did take upon Himself the nature of Satan:

      1.  The unalterable divinity of Jesus because He is God
      2.  Jesus divine nature, ( like His Father ), is a Spirit, holy and separate
           from sinners
      3.  Jesus, via His physical, bodily death on the cross,  destroyed
           the devil and his power of death
      4.  The unalterable, wicked and perverted nature of Satan

1.  First of all, a simple scriptural review of who God and Jesus are begins to reveal their unchanging, divine spiritual nature;

[30] I and my Father are one.  -  John 10:30

6.  For I am the Lord,
I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
-  Malachi 3:6

8.  Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.  -  Heb. 13:8

[10] Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that
I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
[11]
I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.
[12] I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God.
[13]
Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?  -  Isaiah 43:10-13

[58] Jesus said unto them, Verily,verily, I say unto you,
Before Abraham was, I am.
-  John 8:58

14.  And God said unto Moses,
I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.  -  Exodus 3:14

[15] Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.   -  Isaiah 45:15

[11] For unto you is born this day in the city of David
a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. -  Luke 2:11

[42] And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that
this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world. -  John 4:42

[42] Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me:
for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.   -  John 8:42

[5] This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that
God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.  -  I John 1:5

[1]
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
[2] The same was in the beginning with God.
[3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
[4] In him was life; and the life
was the light of men.
[5] And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.   -  John 1:1-5

[9] That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.   -  John 1:9

16.  And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.  -  1 Timothy 3:16

14.  How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through
the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?  -  Hebrews 9:14

22.  By so much was
Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
23.  And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
24.  But this man, because he continueth ever, hath
an unchangeable priesthood.
25.  Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.  -  Hebrews 7:22-25

These are but a few scriptures which reveal that God and Jesus are one and the same in their divinity, their unchanging and unalterable Godhood.   God and Jesus are one and the same being.

2.  Second, in addition to the above scriptural profile of God and Jesus His Son, the scripture also writes of God the Father in these words;

24.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.  -  John 4:24

20.  For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even
his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:  - Romans 1:20

23.  And changed the glory of
the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.  -  Romans 1:23

48.  Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.   -  Matthew 5:48

15.  But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
16.  Because it is written,
Be ye holy; for I am holy. -  1 Peter 1:15-16

2.  But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.  -  Isaiah 59:2

Scripture writes of God that He is Spirit, He is eternal power and the Godhead. God the Spirit is uncorruptible, that is to say that in no manner can God the Spirit be corrupted. God the Spirit is holy and therefore iniquities and sins separate and hide sinners from God.  Scripture proves also that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, has all of these unalterable and divine characteristics as well. It is written;

23.  Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of
incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.  -  1 Peter 1:23

1.  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  -  John 1:1

9.  For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.  -  Colossians 2:9

24.  Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee,
thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.  -  Mark 1:24

35.  And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also
that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. -  Luke 1:35

34.  Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God.  -  Luke 4:34

22.  By so much was
Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
23.  And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
24.  But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
25.  Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
26.  For such an high priest became us, who is
holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;  -  Hebrews 7:22-26

Jesus Christ, the Son of God is holy and incorruptible exactly like His spiritual Father.  Jesus Christ is spiritually part of the Godhead yet He is the only person of that divine spiritual Godhead who has obtained a physical bodily form.  As iniquities and sins separate and hide sinners from God the Father ( Isa. 59:2 ) who is Spirit, then in the same manner the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who is our spiritual High Priest is also separate from sinners.
Therefore, God and Jesus could never, spiritually speaking, separate from one another.  It simply cannot and has not ever ocurred.   Jesus Christ, like His uncorruptible spiritual Father, could never spiritually be corrupted with sin and therefore be spiritually separated from God His Father.   There is not one single scripture nor any set of scriptures which prove that God the Father and Jesus His Son have ever spiritually separated themselves.   This being the case, then by what means could God the Father deal with sin and death via His Son Jesus Christ?   Is God the Father forsaking Jesus His Son in Matt. 27:46 & Mark 15:34?   In these passages, God is not spiritually forsaking Jesus, His Holy Son.  Simply because various scriptures prove that redemption ocurred in the flesh of Jesus.  That is to say that the issue of sin and death, its consequence, was dealt with in the flesh of Jesus and not His Spirit.

Therefore, God is not forsaking nor rejecting Jesus in the recorded messages of the gospels but rather, Jesus was quoting a Messianic Psalms which is the 22nd Psalms.  By doing this Jesus was using scripture to further confirm that He is indeed Israels' Messiah and their Deliverer from their sins.  ( see http://www.afcministry.com/Was_Jesus_separated_from_the_Father.htm )

3.   Third, Jesus Christ the Son of God whose divinity and Godhood is unchanging and unalterable as God the Father is, came to earth and took the form of flesh and blood in order to die a flesh and blood death for the destruction of the devil and the condemnation of sin;

[14]
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.  -  John 1:14

[16] And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
-  1 Timothy 3:16

4.  For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
5.  Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but
a  body hast thou prepared me:
6.  In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
7.  Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
8.  Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;  -  Hebrews 10:4-8

Notice that the writer of Hebrews states that a body, not a spirit, was prepared to take away sins.   This writing in Hebrews is confirmed in Romans;

3.  For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:  -  Romans 8:3

Moreover, again in Hebrews the writer tells us that a flesh and blood death is what destroyed the devil, the one who had the power of death;

14.  Forasmuch then
as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;  -  Heb. 2:14 ( see also Colossians 1:20-22 )

Since Jesus destroys the devil,  by way of His flesh and blood death, then it is unreasonable and untrue to state that Jesus took on the nature of Satan when He became sin on the cross.  The devil was destroyed on that cross because of Jesus physical death.  Therefore, logically, Jesus could not take on Himself and become the devils nature on the cross when it is on the cross where Hebrews clearly writes that Jesus destroys Satan by means of His flesh and blood death.
God the Father prepared a body, not a spirit, in order to do away with and to destroy sin, death and the devil.  The Spirit of Jesus never changed nor was it altered even though He took on the form of the physical,  flesh and blood, natural man.  So the Spirit of Jesus did not and could not suffer in hell or die there for mankinds redemption just because He became 100% flesh and blood man.  Jesus was a 100% flesh and blood man.   However, Jesus remained 100% divine, holy and pure in His Spirit.  Jesus spiritual nature remained divine life and therefore He did not spiritually suffer and die for sins.   His Spirit could not have taken upon itself and become the spiritual nature of the devil.   Sin does cause spiritual death in mankind.  Nevertheless, sin did not cause spiritual death in Jesus Christ. God only required a physical, flesh and blood death to do away with the sin and death problem for all the aspects of mankind, spirit, soul and body.

4.  Fourth,  just as the spiritual nature of Jesus is unalterable and unchanging so also is the wicked and perverted spiritual nature of Satan, the devil.  The scriptures reveal clearly that the consequence of Satan and the wicked angels who followed him in his pride and sin is one of eternal condemnation.  There is no hope nor opportunity for them to repent of their wickedness and thus be redeemed;

18.  For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee:
they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth. -  Isaiah 38:18

4.  For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;  -  2 Peter 2:4

13.  And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and
death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14.  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15.
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. -  Revelations 20:13-15

41.  Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed,
into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
46.
And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.  -  Matt. 25:41 & 46

Isaiah, Matthew, Peter and John ( in writing the words of Revelation ) clearly reveal that without doubt and question eternal condemnation awaits Satan and the angels who sinned with him.  Their end is the everlasting fire.  If Jesus Spirit were to have taken upon Himself the nature of Satan while on the cross or in hell, then Jesus would automatically have fallen into the same unredeemable position of Satan and the fallen angels.   If Jesus Spirit had taken upon Himself the nature of Satan on the cross or in hell, then Jesus would have become spiritually dead with no hope of eternal life just like Satan and his wicked, sinful angelic hosts.  Believing and teaching that Jesus Spirit became the nature of Satan on the cross or in hell is unscriptural, foolish and simply unreasonable.  Jesus never took upon Himself the nature of Satan.  He could not have done so and at the same time been the perfect, uncorrupted sacrifice for the sins of mankind as written of in Peter;

18.  Forasmuch as ye know that
ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19.
But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: -  1 Peter 1:18-19

18.  For Christ also hath once suffered for sins,
the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the spirit:  -  1 Peter 3:18

The flesh of Jesus became sin and His spotless shed blood redeemed and justified sinful mankind.  Jesus was made sin, but only in His flesh body and not His Spirit.  Therefore, God condemns sin in the flesh of Jesus on the cross, ( Romans 8:3 ).  Jesus died for our sins, yet His Spirit never took upon Himself the nature of Satan.  Jesus was the Just who died for the unjust.  Jesus was, is and always will be God ( Heb. 13:8 / 1 John 5:20 ).
