Unspoilt, seldom-visited
Pangkor Island, about 100km (60 miles) south of Penang Island (and half an hour
by ferry from Lumut) has recently gained in popularity, and accommodation
facilities have been greatly improved.
Since 1996, an internal air link to the island has facilitated access for tourists. Innumerable bays boast excellent sandy beaches and all kinds of watersports. Pangkor has no air links.
