Fatima: The Story Behind the Miracles Meet the Witnesses	Fatima The Miracle of the Sun   The events occurring in Fatima, on the 13th day of six consecutive months in in 1917 can not be logically explained away under any atheistic or agnostic approach They defy rational explanation.  The framework for the occurrences surrounding this Apparition go far beyond what some people know of Fatima, which is primarily The Dance of the Sun witnessed by Thousands.    As per the Vatican the saga begins 33 years to the day before the apparitions and miracles at Fatima, The Historic significance is covered in a separate article. Fatima, a small Portuguese village where it is alleged that the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared repeatedly to three young shepherds with a message for the World. In these apparitions of 1917,  she prophesied the end of Word War I, the coming of World War II, and the global spread of Communism. During her last recorded visit to Fatima, the  "miracle of the sun"--a spectacular  phenomenon--occurred in the presence of 50 - 70,000 witnesses. {Although some accounts say as much as a 100,000} The crowd consisted of educated and illiterate ,rich and poor, die hard Catholics as well as devout Atheists who had come to mock. Starting in July the Apparition had promised a miracle , on October 13, which was to be her final appearance , so that all would believe. This miracle became known as "Miracle of the Sun".  The day had been marred by persistent rain which had finally abated and a thin cloud layer veiled the sun, such that it could be looked upon without squinting. Lúcia called out to the crowd to look at the sun. When she did this the sun changed colors and began to rotate, like a fiery wheel. For some, it appeared to fall from the sky repeatedly, while others described it as meandering or zig-zagging. The phenomenon was witnessed by almost everyone in the crowd as well as others many miles away.   "The rain suddenly stopped and the sun came out. At first it seemed to start spinning and then it began to plunge crazily toward the earth. The crowd was terrified. After a moment the sun returned to its normal position and then, twice more, repeated the same maneuver."  C.C. Their bodies are subject to a mysterious, depressing force that prostrates them." - Joseph Pelletier, The Sun Danced at Fatima "As if like a bolt from the blue, the clouds were wrenched apart, and the sun at its zenith appeared in all its splendor. It began to revolve vertiginously on its axis, like the most magnificent firewheel that could be imagined, taking on all the colors of the rainbow and sending forth multi-colored flashes of light, producing the most astounding effect. This sublime and incomparable spectacle, which was repeated three distinct times, lasted for about ten minutes. The immense multitude, overcome by the evidence of such a tremendous prodigy, threw themselves on their knees." - Dr. Formigao, a professor at the seminary at Santarem Augusto Pereira dos Reis --- "I saw the Sun coming down spinning....My clothes were first wet and then Dry " Meet the Witnesses   {as soon as the sun became normal, everything was bone dry, the ground, the vegetation and the people's clothing , even though everything had been drenched moments before.}     Agnostic newspaper  Diario de Noticias was antagonistically antireligious,  it frequently published open attacks on the Catholics and religion in general.  From October 13 to the 17th reporters from this paper and similar publications were suddenly no longer agnostic or atheistic as they published report after report from eye witnesses . Incidentally many of the reporters were among the eyewitnesses. The editor of a rival publication "O Seculo" , was present with other members of the press, he wrote next day, "Before their dazzled eyes, the sun trembled, the sun made unusual and brusque movements, defying all the laws of the cosmos, and according to the typical expression of the peasants, `the sun danced.'" Distant witnesses also reported seeing the same phenomena. . .Witnesses 18 Kilometers away {About 11 miles} , in the town of Alburita.  Alfons Lopez Vicira claims he saw the event . Catholic Priest Father Inacio Lourenco, who at the time was nine years old , saw the phenomenon from Alburita along with schoolteacher Delfina Lopes and other students . Lourenco states that “People in Alburita flocked to the churches, and they also noticed how everything turned green, red, yellow, vermilion, just the same as at Fatima"    Something happened at Fatima, something bizarre and supernatural. Something happened beyond contemporary Human ability to explain outside of religious and or pseudo scientific dogmas.  The forces that perpetrated this event apparently had a benevolent agenda.  However the agenda of the Vatican is quite mysterious. The secrets recalled by Lucia went through a steady process of evolution and multiplication as she remained cloistered year after year under control of the Jesuits.  Initially they were only a few words. In 1927 they became two secrets and finally in 1941 a third secret materialized.    Was Fatima a UFO incident ? I personally am not fond of  imbeciles posing as intellectuals who see Aliens hiding inside every other cloud.
