If you're anxious to roll up your sleves and and test your journalism skills there's many opportunities for you to gain valuable experience.

NEPA Bulletin
The NEPA Bulletin, a publication for the New England Press Association is published at the School of Journalism. Students have an opportunity to write and produce this monthly tabloid and receive college credit. For more information contact Linc McKie at 373-8324 or send an e-mail to [email protected].

Northeastern News Practicum
The Practicum is an opportunity for graduate and undergraduate honors students to learn about reporting in a real-life setting. Students work as reporters for daily and weekly newspapers. Adviser: Linc McKie, 373-8324 (e-mail: [email protected])

The Cauldron
The Cauldron is the university's student yearbook and any undergraduate student can work on it. Journalism students have worked as writers, editors, photographers and business managers. The Cauldron is written and designed on the PageMaker program. Achievement awards are available for the editors. Business managers and sales personnel receive commissions. The Cauldron has a work-study position.

The Northeastern News
The Northeastern News is the award-winning student weekly newspaper with 10,000 circulation. The News features campus news and sports, as well as editorial and life-style sections. Students can work for the newspaper as reporters, editors, photographers and advertising sales representatives. Journalism students will find The News an excellent way to practice writing, editing, photography, advertising and business skills.

The Onyx-Informer
The Onyx-Informer is a newspaper published four times a year by and for minority students. It features news, sports and commentary. There are opportunities for student writers, editors and photographers as well as students interested in advertising. Editors receive achievement awards. Advertising commissions are paid.

The Spectrum
The Spectrum is an award-winning literary and arts magazine published in the fall and spring quarters. This is a great outlet for students interested in writing, editing, photography and design. Editors receive achievement awards.

WRBB
Although not a publication, Northeastern's radio station has many opportunities for those interested in broadcast. WRBB is the university's 24-hour, 10-watt station at 104.9 on the FM dial and is open to all undergraduate students. WRBB broadcasts a full slate of music, news, public affairs and sports programs including Northeastern University athletic contests. WRBB also publishes a program guide twice a year. The station features three newly renovated broadcast studios, one of which is used for the Radio News class. Students interested in music, news, sports and advertising are encouraged to join WRBB. Meetings are held weekly throughout the year on Tuesdays at 7 p.m., usually on the fourth floor of the Curry Student Center. WRBB has one co-op and several work-study positions available.
