![]() Here is a group of us in the kitchen. I was really glad to have so many friends come out for this. I sold quite a few books, but I also got to touch base with people that I don't get to see as much now that I live in Modesto. I had a great time. |
![]() I'm signing a book here, sitting at the kitchen table where so many important decisions of my childhood were made. Not that we make a whole lot of important decisions as kids. Come to think of it, we had a different table when I was a kid. Well, in this picture I'm sitting about 5 feet from the chair I was sitting in when I received the offer phone call from Rick and took the job to teach at LeyVa. How's that? |
![]() Here I am leading the group in prayer. KIDDING!!! I'm surrounded here by friends and neighbors that I grew up with and around. I'm about to start reading from the book. I read the section in One Truth about cutting school and going to Santa Cruz. It's a semi-autobiographical scene, but please keep in mind if you read the book that I am not Robert. I can't stand Robert, and I debated killing him off many times while writing the book. |

![]() GoodEnough Books in Livermore CA, was in business for 23 years. They have always been a strong supporter of local and self-published authors, giving readers a wider variety of writers to choose from. I was the last author to ever speak at GoodEnough Books. The weekend after I was there, they changed their name to Altamont Books and moved across the street. It was an honor to be a part of this stores history, and I'm flattered that they carry my books. |
![]() Here is the table they set up to promote my books and my signing. I had never seen such a big pile of One Truth at a Time that I didn't own myself. I was also thrilled to see a flyer promoting the event that I didn't make. GoodEnough books really made me feel like a writer. |

![]() I'm in deep thought and in mid-presentation at this point. On the Easel behind me, you can see the clustering technique I use to break writer's block. Thanks to Professor Rico for turning me on to that technique. |
![]() I'm reading from the hardcover version of One Truth at a Time here. I'm reading my favorite chapter where Robert and Angelo cut high school and go to Santa Cruz. |
![]() After the reading and the signing (or maybe it was before) I took this picture with my friend, Nancy, and her friend. That's it for this signing. I hope to see you at the next one!! |
