BROCKWAY FIRE TRUCK PROGRESS

January 2005 - Dismantled Truck to the Frame. 

February 2005 - Tore down motor, sandblasted frame, and some parts.

March 2005 - Repaired frame, fabricated new back step support, metal fabrication, made new side skirts, cleaned parts, etc...

Cold December Night.  Removing the old water tank!  Remember setting the torch bottles on fire Kyle??

 

Thanks to Kyle and Porchtown Recyclers.  This rig had no problem removing the old tank!

 

We pushed the truck in the building during a snowstorm!

 

3 Days Later, this is the Brockway!

 

Below: The Continental Motor is removed.

 

Rotted Frame Rail and Cross Member

 

Frame Rail being repaired. New metal inserted and welded.

 

Frame Rail being repaired. Kyle, Gary, and Dave welded new angle into the frame rails.

 

Frame being prepared to be sandblasted.

 

Sandblasting is complete. Frame looks so much better!

 

New Corss Member fabricated. Old one shown also!

 

Frame Rail is finished and ground down to look original!

 

March 20, 2005 - Frame is painted with POR 15 from Restomotive Labs.
