IAN
CULLEN has
been filling both stage and screen with his presence since the early 1960's.
From early roles in 'Doctor Who'
and 'Emergency Ward-10',
he soon shot to fame as PC Joe Skinner in the popular drama series 'Z-Cars'.
Ian played the character, who was later promoted to detective, in 220 episodes
between 1969 and 1975. Other acting credits include 'Blake's
7', 'When The Boat Comes In', 'The Bill', 'Dalziel & Pascoe', 'Harbour
Lights' and 'Badger'.
He was the original lead of 'Family
Affairs', playing Angus Hart from 1997 to
1999. His film credits include Gabriel
& Me with Billy Connolly and Hellbreeder.
His new film, Cold Earth
is released later this year. He recently narrated 2 documentaries, and starred
as Richard in 'Murder
By Appointment'.
Ian's main passion however is the stage, and he has many stage credits to his name, and in recent years has directed several plays, including 'Romeo & Juliet', 'As You Like It' and 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', all at the Dudley Festival. Ian has also written several film and television screenplays, including the film Cruel Passion in 1977, the television series 'Snacker' and episodes for 'The Paper Lads'.
Ian is married to actress Yvonne Quenet, and they have 3 children. In 1982, Ian co-founded the Surrey Heath Youth Actor's Company, which he still runs today.
