Cub Scout Pack 1680 - august activity, 2002
| This year's event was held at Adventure Bay which is water slide park at the Funplex grounds on Beechnut & Eldridge Road. Twenty-three (23) people attended this event including 13 cub scouts/siblings and 10 adults. | The following points are some suggestions/comments for future August activity/Adventure Bay events: |
- Adventure Bay was a good activity for the cub scouts. Everyone seems to enjoy the facility despite the two periods of rain that fell that day.
- Being part of an organization like the cubs scouts, we were able to qualify for even less than the regular group rates which were $12/person. The group rates provided by Adventure Bay to us ($11/person) were excellent compared to their standard admissions fees($19/adult, $14/cub scout).
- Lunch was included for an additional $4.50.person. This cost was covered by the pack budget for this event. We charged Each cub scout, sibling and adult $12/person to cover the cost of admission and drinks (water bottles). Lunch consisted of a hamburger, fries and a bottled drink. A meal ticket was handed out as each person arrived at the water park.
- Only 23 people attended this year's event. One den was booked with another event. Other families had football or other activities.
- Most of the families stayed for about three hours and departed when the first heavy rain set in.
