Comments : The music soundtrack for Butterfly was almost entirely composed by Ennio Morricone ( "A Fistfull of Dollars", "Once Upon A Time In The West", "The Mission",...). Compared to his other work, this is a very low-key score and yet, it captures the psychology and the uneasiness of the main characters very well. The lyrics for It's Wrong For Me To Love You were by Academy Award winner Carol Connors (Rocky). Although almost every critic gave Butterfly a bad review, they all praised Pia's performance of this song. As you can see, the CD release contains much more tracks than the original score, but still, it's the 1982 release that enchants me the most. Some of the best cuts (e.g. Waiting Montage) were 'forgotten' on the re-release and that's a pity. It's Wrong For Me To Love You appears also on Pia Zadora's debut album "Pia", but in a slightly different version. |
