Shell:
White, reddish-orange reticulated dorsum, distinguished mantle line.
Animal:
mantle- thick, beaded and irregular, dark yellow, siphon- fringed with tiny white beads, foot- black, white spots, edged with brown.
Region:
Southeast Africa, Indian Ocean
Habitat:
Dredged or trawled from 35 to 40 metres in mud and sand.
Notes:
Rarest of cowries, less than ten known of, some found in stomachs of fishes.
