Shell: A beautiful color tapestry, basically grey-blue, but with orange-brown dorsal line, the same color staining part of the mottling. A sprinkling of dark dots with indefinite edges. White base ornamented with orange-red between teeth.
Animal: Foot is grey-brown, mantle tan to grey with short grey conical, and long white dentritic papillae that exactly resemble christmas trees. The crawling surface is yellow, edged with white. The siphon is grey and fringed.
Region: Indo-Pacific
Habitat: From shallow water in most of the Indo-Pacific to three to nine fathoms in Hawaii, it is a coral dweller.
