CONSERVATION OF TIGERS
Indian attitude towards conservation of wild life is favorable but how effectively implemented and how scientifically it is introduced is a matter of importance. The latest project introduced by the help of world wide fund are proving very helpful e.g. PROJECT TIGER has increased the number of tigers from 1800 nearly a decade ago to more than 3000 in 1985. Indian habitat prevention program has created 54 national parks and more than 233 sanctuaries besides biosphere reserves to promote the cause of wild life conservation.
