| Guo Jing grabs Yang Guo by his collar. His eyes are alight with fury and his palm begins to descend towards Yang Guo's head. Xiao Long Nuu grabs his arm, trying to pull him off Yang Guo but Guo Jing pushes her away and she falls down hard. Guo Jing turns to Yang Guo and sys with barely controlled rage, "If I cannot make you see how wrong this is, then I have no choice but to kill you." Yang Guo closes his eyes and waits for his death. But just then, Guo Jing experiences a change and lets him go. Xiao Long Nuu helps her lover up and both of them stare at Guo Jing. Yang Guo's surrogate uncle looks at him sadly, disappointment in his eyes. Yang Guo is angry himself and tells Long that they should leave this place. As they leave, many shouts are heard, branding them as "animals" and "shameless people." Yang Guo and Xiao Long Nuu find an abandoned temple and spend the night there. They would be setting out for Zhong Nan Mountain and the Ancient Tomb so they rest fitfully to recover their strengths. The next morning, they hear thundering hoofbeats passing by the temple. It is Huang Rong accompanied by Wu Dunru and Wu Xiu Wen. Yang Guo and Long do not go out until the clouds from the hoofbeats have settled. They take a boat, intending to row back to the Ancient Tomb. On the way, Long tells Yang Guo what she has discovered about Maiden's Sutra. It seems that when the Ancient Tomb Sect (Gumu Bai) founder, Lin Chao Yin created it, she has been harboring feelings about the All True Sect (Quan Zhen) founder, Wong Chong Yang. (NOTE: The Maiden's Sutra technique was created by Lin Chao Yin as the blackstar to All True Sect, but in the end, the two styles came to complement each other.) Yang Guo and Xiao Long Nuu decide to stop at an inn to rest for the night but to their surprise, as they make their way inside, they see Huang Rong and the Wu brothers sitting at a table.
