"Your skills are very good but you waste it by thinking too much about women and the girl called Long (Dragon)," one of the Taoists says to Guo Jing as soon as he realizes that the stranger is no ordinary fighter.
At last, Master Qui appears and recognizes Guo Jing immediately. After exchanging pleasantries with his old teacher, Guo Jing asks why the Mongolians were attacking the temple. The thoughtful expression comes over the Taoist's face as he recounts the strange story of the origin of the Ancient Tomb and the bitter rivalry between the two greatest martial arts fighters in China.
The stone is a product of an old duel between Wong Chong Yang, the founder of All True Sect and his greatest rival, a woman who founded the nearby Ancient Tomb Sect (Gumu Bai). The woman possessed skills to equal the great Taoist but because of her discretion, her name remains virtually unknown in the wu lin world.
The fight was strange to begin with. The challenge was that whoever writes a short passage on the stone with his/her bare finger wins. If the woman defeats Wong Chong Yang, he must give up the tomb that he built for himself. But if he wins the match, the nameless kung fu master would gladly end her own life.
Though highly skilled, Wong knew that he could never allow himself to win the match. And he also knew that no one, not even the ancient masters, has ever accomplished such a daunting task. But his rival surprised him when she did the impossible and wrote a short passage with her bare finger on the stone as easily as she would on a piece of paper. Having witnessed such a great feat, Wong bowed before her and willingly gave up the tomb. He became a Taoist and built a small temple nearby, which later became known as Chong Yang Palace.
