Next, she tells him that he must call her 'master' but he said that he would call her 'Gugu' (Auntie) instead for he curses his former master sometimes and he does not want to do it to her unconsciously. Because she is incapable of anger, Long allows this trespass on her authority and goes on to the next task at hand.
Long leads Yang Guo to a small room with three sparrows flying about and shows him how to catch these all in one go. She then orders him to do the same. When Yang Guo manages to catch one, he eagerly reports back to Long but she is unimpressed and sends him back at once, telling him to catch all three. After much deliberation and hard work, Yang Guo accomplishes the task. Long then shows him another room, larger this time, and containing six sparrows.
This goes on for several months. Each time Yang Guo finishes a task, Long leads him to yet another room. Finally, when Yang Guo's soaring skills in limited space have developed fully, Long thinks it is now time for him to practice outside the tomb. She lets him carry the birds in a sack and bids him to follow her as she heads for the forest. Once there, she instructs Yang Guo to release the birds and to watch her carefully as she attempts to grab them. Then in a series of graceful movements, Long seems to float in the air as she encloses the birds in a sort of sphere formed by her nei gong. When she finally lands on the ground, she orders Yang Guo that he must be able to do this before they would go on to the next step.
Back in the Ancient Tomb, Long leads Yang Guo to a hidden chamber with walls filled with ancient writings. She tells him that it is called Maiden's Sutra, the only technique that could defeat All True Sect. Her grandmaster, Lin Chao Yin, the founder of Ancient Tomb Sect, has purposefully made it because she hated Wong Chong Yang and was obsessed on defeating him. She spent several months pooling out her knowledge and mixed both orthodox and unorthodox kung fu to come up with it. Finally, her hard work bore fruit when the technique took the shape of Maiden's Sutra.
Yang Guo looks around him with awe and wonder, studying the ancient scripts silently while Long explains to him the story of the bitter rivalry between the two greatest martial arts masters of all time, Lin Chao Yin and Wong Chong Yang.#
