"Razzmatazz - Lively spirit, excitement, vigor, flashy quality, showiness" |
RazzMaTazz Red Rose Hatters held our inaugural meeting on Saturday, September 13, 2003 at a tearoom in nearby Lititz. The Dancing Queen, Bev Brubaker, was hostess for the day and even presented each lady with a special, hand-made bracelet of red & purple or pink & lavendar beads! Our group, from the Red Rose City & surrounding area, used the initial gathering to get acquainted, pick a name, and discuss future possibilities. There was much excitement about joining the lively, spirited Red Hatters all over the world! Eleven red & pink hatters enjoyed the stares, questions, and comments from passersby. Some knew immediately what the group was all about. One woman said she would become a Red Hatter when she retired. (Why's she waiting for the fun to begin?) One pair asked if we were going to sing! That was an understandable mistake as we were quite a lovely sight all dolled up in red & purple or pink & lavender standing in front of the tearoom. As we've been told, the discussion did include bragging about how little was spent on our finery! I believe the winner paid a scant $1.50 for a gorgeous pair of red & gold high heels. |

When I am an old woman I shall wear purple With a red hat which doesn't go and doesn't suit me. And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves And satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter. |

Waiting for a hostesses to step forward to say "I'll be Queen for a Day." This can be done easily by contacting our Dancing Queen at 656-6938 or by email. |
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive & well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, crown & water in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "WOO HOO! What a ride!" |
