| The MSM degree with a concentration in Project Management is important in today's business environment because it requires versatile managers who can adapt to change and solve problems while providing creative leadership. They must be able to optimize physical and human resources to accomplish organizational objectives, reducing time and costs while increasing competitive quality. Skills I attained with this program at Colorado Tech prepared me with the skills and knowledge needed to become an effective project manager, including time/conflict management; teams and HR management; risk analysis and management; scheduling techniques; organizations and processes; cost, budgeting and scheduling; procurement and contracting; and control systems implementation. Program content covered key areas contained in the Project Management Body of Knowledge(PMBOK�), considered to be the industry standard by the Project Management Institute(PMI�).
