Lips
- Using a lip brush, coat on lip colour. Don't attempt to paint on a shape that is'nt there; follow the natural line of your mouth. Don't forget the corners of your mouth. (Open wide to get the best result.)

- Next choose a lip pencil that is the same shade as your lip colour (or one shade darker) to outline your mouth. Do not go beyond the natural line of the lips. It looks fake.

- Blot with a tissue, if necessary to remove excess colour and smoth the texture.

- For long lasting colour use a soft lip pencil to fill the entire lip before applying lipstick.
Here are some tips, you may find them helpful.

Concealer
-I Recommend putting concealer under the eye up to the lower lashes and most important, on the innermost corner of the eye. This is the most recessed area of the face and therfore the darkest appearing. It is a very neglected spot. A concealer brush is a small, firm brush that comes to a point at the tip and is especially helpful in reaching this corner. ( You may use fingers if you dont have a brush.)

- Smooth and blend, using a gentle pressing action, with the pads of your first two fingers. Be gentle. The aim is to make the concealer as smooth as possible so that powder locks onto it in an even texture and is'nt distracting or visible.

- Then to set the concealer, dust on yellow toned powder using a velor puff. Use a generous amount, because more is better here: too much is not a problem, while too little is. Simply dust away any excess with a brush. The powder keeps the concealer locked in place, and the yellow tone of the powder does wonders to lighten dark circles.
The Three Minute Face
-The three minute makeup is the bare minimum.  It is the perfect application to make you feel presentable.

- Situation: It is a Saturday morning and you are going out to run errands or you are leaving the house to do a quick task.  You are wearing casual clothes - perhaps even sweats - and it would look wrong to do a more serious makeup.  The point is to look like you have not just crawled out of bed.

- Start with concealer under the eyes and in the most recessed corners of the eyes.  It makes you look awake.

- The next step is to deal with your skin.  Put a tinted moisturiser or, if your skin is smooth naturally, sweep a natural blush colour or bronzer on your cheeks.  Or, using foundation quickly a blemish or redness around the nose.

- This is a moment for brown or black mascara.

- Wear sheer or lightly tinted gloss on lips.
Making Up Brows
- Filling the brow is an essential makeup set.  Since its effect can be huge - framing your face and giving it strength - it should be as automatic as coating on mascara.

- Use shadow to fill in the brow.  A rule of thumb for colour shadow is brown.  Anything too yellow to too black ends up looking unnatural.  If you prefer a brow pencil, find one that is very soft to avoid looking artificial.

If hair colour is:                       Use shadow brow filler in:

Blonde                                      Taupe
Light Brown                              Sable
Red                                           Taupe or Camel
Brunette with Red Highlights    Red Brown
Black                                        The Darkest Brown, Never Charcoal or Black
Grey                                         Slate or Grey

- To apply, use a small, hard brush, flat and angled at the tip.  For longer lasting colour, dampen the brush slightly before dipping it into the shadow colour.  Blow off the excess and start applying it at the most populated area of brow to avoid laying down too much colour.  Finish by combing your brows up with a hard eyebrow brush or a firm toothbrush that you designated for this job.
