Ima Star Candy Bar

This 1995 Grullo Mare is a carrier of the seasonal Brindle pattern. She out of the buckskin brindle AQHA mare Im A Star Moon Bar, who is a carrier of the seasonal brindle pattern and is one of the foundation mares of one line of Brindles I have studied. Im A Star Moon Bar has reproduced the seasonal brindle pattern in her offspring. Refer to the article on her offspring.

Candy is also one of the last daughters of the grullo AQHA stallion Miracle Moon, ROM Race with SI 102, and a sire of AQHA ROM Race, top roping winners, and ABRA World Champions.

Candy is registered with the AQHA (3363744). Like her dam, she should reproduce the seasonal brindle pattern approximately 50% of the time if bred to a non-brindle. If bred to a brindle, the percentages could be higher. The above is just in reference to the brindle pattern. For color in general, Candy can produce dun factor colors (grullo/dun) and since her dam was a buckskin, she may also carry the Ccr dilution to produce buckskins. Even if bred to a non-colored stallion, I anticipate Candy should produce a minimum 75% color (dun, buckskin, or seasonal brindle).

I tried to breed her several times to her brother (Ima Star Brindle Bar), but the cross was not successful. As I do not have another stallion to breed her to, it is with great regret that I have to let Candy go. Her sire, Miracle Moon, was a very special horse. Since she is the last daughter I got out of him, I have been very attached to her.
