Some of the background
information about the
Silver Millennium was
filled in by me and
may not be 100%
accurate. I put this
narrative together
from the various manga
volumes, which are the
best and official source.

On a black evening, a forbidden meeting occurred on the Moon. Disguised, the prince had come to warn his princess of the danger encompassing the Earth. Alas, his warning came too late. That was the night of the attack on the Moon by Metallia's evil forces. Upon seeing the lovers, her queen, Beryl, became filled with rage. Backed by Metallia's evil form, she raised a sword high above her head.

Princess Serenity screamed with terror as it cut through Endymion. Earth's generals stared in horror. Overcome with grief, Serenity picked up the sword and took her own life. Her four guardian soldiers rushed to stop her, but it was too late. Filled with anger, the leader of the guardians used the Holy Blade and destroyed Beryl. Finally, in a wave of evil, Metallia destroyed them all.

Horror stricken, Queen Serenity, cried for her daughter and her fallen kingdom. There was only one way to defeat Metallia. Raising her staff high above her head, she sealed Metallia and her hoards deep inside the Earth, never to awaken. With the last of her strength, she sent her daughter, her guardians, and the prince to the future to have another chance for peace and happiness.
