Stained Glass Catalogs and Manufacturers

This page contains links that are company related. I have stained glass catalogs links, glass manufacturers including industrial glass along with companies that make stained glass tools and a section just on metal castings.

All my catalogs should list a state, or country, along with any price tag the catalog may be asking to receive it.

Any links that have an Update by it has a new address. So be sure to update your bookmarks.

GLASS COMPANIES

Chicago Art Glass - Makers of Tiffany reproduction glass. Along with bumpy, rippled, and textured glass. There are a few examples of the tiles they make. All the glass they list is explained by color and number.

CBS - Coatings by Sandberg - They sell Dichroic glass. They don't offer pictures, or too much information though.

Bullseye Glass - Makers of fancy pants glass. Those sparkling irridescents and Tiffany reproduction glasses.

Armstrong Glass Company - They have descriptions of the glass they make.

Chicago Art Glass - Makers of art glass, tiles, and jewels. They also have a product by number area. They used to be at http://www.chicagoartglass.com but they seemed to have moved to much lower budget site. I'm keeping both links alive just in case the old link is still good.

Blenko Glass - They blow glass, sell that 1" thick stuff for Dalle de Verre, and some really beautiful hand blown 1/8" type glass.

Spectrum Glass - A great site about their glass, they have scans of most of their glass, so you can get a glimpse as to what it'll look like before you buy it. They also have a news letter "The Score", that you can get for free. Plus they offer free patterns. Definitely worth a look.

Uroboros Glass - They make glass for representational art but also have a huge fusing line. It includes casting billets in many colors. A casting billet is a brick, low bubbles, clean and clear and cheap! They have products for glass blowers, kiln casters and fuse-aholics.

Wissmach Glass - Makers of the glass that fills in the color gaps that Spectrum missed.

Kokomo - The company that supplied Tiffany with a lot of his glass.

Lamberts Glass (GLASHTTE LAMBERTS) - Makers of very fine antiques, restoration glasses, and some of the coolest streaky glass I've ever seen! They also show you how they make their glass.

Vegla Glass - I think they make glass for industrial applications, but I just can't tell. It's written in German, so I can't read a word of it.

Morton Glass Tools - They make Morton products, duh. You know, the Morton system (looks like a lighting grid). They also sell breaking tools, and light box items.

Water Saw Links - In the market for a water saw? Lucky! This is a huge list of links of where to buy such a saw. a Water saw is a device that shoots water out of a very small hole at a very high pressure. The result is a stream of water that can cut through almost anything. For this trade you can cut glass, any shape in the middle. Or wood, metal etc.

The Cutter's Mate - The cutter's mate is a new type of glass cutter. Basically it's a weighted cutter, on a 2 piece swinging, sliding arm. It's really good for people who have problems holding a glass cutter. The device will keep the cutter straight with a constant pressure. They're not paying me to say that, though it would be nice to get a free one... hint hint.

Venture Tape - They make copper foil and I think they were the one's who invented new wave foil. BTW they are the people who actually mark their package with their own name. They also make a bunch of other kinds of tapes.

Canfield Solder - Maker's of Canfield Solder. I've found that Canfield has some of the best solders around, easy to work with. They also have some catalogs and technical bulletins, that you can ask for.

Cliffside Studio - They sell Frank Lloyd Wright lamp bases. They also sell books and patterns on the same subject.

Wardell Publications - They make the styrofoam type lamp mold.

Bradley Bases - It's the Bradley Base people of course. There the people that have molds and designs, to make stained glass bases. along with complementing shades.

Gemini Ring Saw - They make the Taurus and Gemini Ringsaw. The page doesn't have much on it, and it looks exactly like their ad's, but you can still e-mail them if you wanted to.

UpdateInland - Makers of grinders and band saws, they also include in their site: a basic stained glass primer, about stained glass tools, and a general FAQ. You'll have to look around their site for Inland's address. It's not oraganized very well.

The Fletcher-Terry company - Makers of the Score Master 1, 2, 3, 4, the Gold Tip Series, and many other cutting instruments.

Creative Castings - They make those little lead figures. Like butterfly bodies.

Monster Metals - They also make little lead figures. But their's are mythical little beasts.

Lapidary Supplies

Rock Hounds Esq - They sell agates, prices are between $.50 and $1.00 per square inch. They sell many kinds of slabbed and polished stones. Located in Woodbridge, CA.

Eloxite Corp - Their page is fairly pathetic looking. But they sell agates, jewels, etc.

Russo and Co - Rough and Gems - They sell semi-precious and not so semi-precious stones. There are also rough cabs to choose from.

Hot Glass Related

Art Glass Scrap Glass - This is kind of interesting. They sell scrap glass or 90 COE Uroboros and Bullseye glass. You can buy it by the pound and by the color. It's about $2.00 a pound. The price seems high, but since it's art glass that isn't too bad. Personally I'd like to go there myself and pick it out. They're located in Mountain View, California.

Skutt Ceramic Products - Skutt makes electric kilns and accessories for the hobby and industrial markets.

Paragon Kilns - Maker's of kilns. They are a pretty big company, and make some nice kilns.
