Stained Glass Photographs

This page just has stained glass photos. Some of the sections are: panels, lamps, boxes, and suncatchers. I also have stepping stones related links.

Any links that have an Update by it has a new address. So be sure to update your bookmarks.

PHOTO'S

These are links to other pages that I think have some pretty cool stuff on them. Normally I won't have any commercial home pages in my link list, (you can really find them anywhere), but for these I'll make an exception. I'll subdivide the list.

Sun Catchers

Stained Glass Full Profile Dog Portraits - They have a whole bunch of adorable dog suncatchers. They also have birds, pets, horses, all kinds of stuff.

Odds-Onchoice - There aren't really suncatchers. They're more like desk sets. The site mainly features race horses in action, there's some pretty neat stuff here.

A Glass Act - They make stained glass jewelry, little pins, and things done in the traditional stained glass way (not fused).

Bobbie's Stained Glass - There are a lot of sun catchers here.

Jackie's Stained Glass Show - There's actually a mix here, sun catchers, boxes, stepping stones. There's some pretty nice stuff here.

Mirrors

Stained Glass Mirrors of Janet Smith - There are pictures of mirrors and panels here, using a contemporary design.

Contois Reynolds - They have been working in stained glass for over 30 years. They offer original mirror designs. They also make earrings as well.

Panels

NewGlastar - Art Gallery - There are many photo's of peoples work, panels, 3-d, lamps, etc. There a lot of pictures here. Everything here was made with some kind of Glastar product.

NewA Pane in the Glass - Ignore the sparkle trail, and don't click on some of the pictures, they lead to porn. There are a lot of panels and lamps here.

NewTiffany-Glas Mirring - This German based site offers original windows. Though the pictures are a little blurred.

NewVisions Stained Glass Gallery - 20 pages of original panels. Ranging from people to landscape.

NewDesigns with Glass - They say the designs are original, but I'm pretty sure I've seen these in books before. Either way the color selection looks pretty good.

NewPaned Expressions Studio - Fine art in stained glass. They have awsome looking panels here. But you can't right click and save any. :(

Art in Glass - They have custom windows for residential and religious places. All the designs show originality and complexity.

Cathy Claycomb Fine Art Glass - Her style is a bit different. She takes cool edges from glass and fuses objects to the back of the glass. The result is a shadow, the light from the front is an interesting art glass and with the light in the back you see a shadow of the object, otherwise known as a hidden image.

Stained Glass by Jan - There's some pretty good stuff here. Ignore the annoying midi.

The Glass Place by Louise Mehaffey - He has some gorgeous floral panels, along with bevel and traditional work.

The Kjerland Studio - Quite a few panels depicting nature themes.

Architectural Archives - From what I can tell, they sell stuff ripped out of old buildings, which includes Tiffany windows. They also sell a wide variety of goodies.

Frank Thompson Studio's - He makes mostly religious panels. There are also door inserts here.

Expressions - There sure are a lot of puns in stained glass names, probably as many as hair stylists. Anyway they have a lot of complex work here. All the work looks original, ranging from nature to art Nouveau.

Stained Glass and Patch Work - There are a few interesting panels here. There is some stained glass and some patchwork (non glass), as the name implies. For some reason, they have annoying bird sounds in the background. And if your not paying attention, you would swear there was a large bird outside.

Steven Olson's Home Page of Stained Glass Designs - There are many pictures of windows featuring people. Pretty neat looking, there is also a few small lamps.

Artwork by Cole Sonafrank - He has small panels with peoples faces in it, and a small series on ravens. He also does work in wood, stone, paint, and metals.

Kessler Studios - They make architectural things here. The windows are quite large. There is also mosaic works here done on a large scale.

Rick and Kathy's Craft Page - There is some fairly complex work here. It looks original to me.

Glaskunstgalerie - Bastelzauber - Tiffany-Glaskunst - Say that 3 times fast! This site is located in Germany, and is in German. But you can always get a translator page going (like altavista's). If you can't speak German, it really doesn't matter, you can probably find your way around, the words resemble english a little. There are some awsome works here. Look for the word "Galerie", that will bring you to the pictures. I don't know what it is about germany or the other countries near there, but the patterns are very cool. I don't know if he made them all, or if there all from contest entries. He also has a CD available, I don't know if he gives them out or what. It contains a few web pages and a ton of large TIFF files of stained glass. If you can get your hands on it, go for it. I give it FIVE STARS.

Stained Glass by Carl Riggins - He has some pretty nice stuff here. The work is fairly intricate (especially the 3-D things). It looks like the work is original. Just a note: some of the pictures are a little blurry, but you can still see them.

Painted

NewBigger's Glass Painting - He creates hand painted, kiln fired creations. There are many examples of his work.

Boxes

The Felicitous Fat Cat - This is probably one of the strangest, but most unique uses of stained glass boxes. Stained glass urns for your cremated pets. Very interesting.

Glass Artistry Studio - Small but unique boxes here.

Stained Glass Design - There aren't a lot of boxes on here, but they are unique.

3-Dimensional

NewWire Art Motorcycles - Harley-Davidson motorcycles - They are not stained glass, but wire sculpture. It was too neat not to have it in my links page. Each bike is almost 100% wire.

NewThat Glass Guy - He creates 3-Dimensional works of art in glass. Animal's are his main creations he has 4 things on display. Definitely go here and take a look.

Final Touches Stained Glass Creations - There is quite a bit of stuff here. Work includes jewelry boxes, kaleidoscopes, mirrors, suncatchers, etc.

Lady Jane - This site is so cool. She makes houses. Doll houses can be more of an accurate term. But not even that, they're are more like little (not so little), works of art. She makes the house, and separate artists make exact scale decorations. Very detailed, very expensive, a fully furnished house may be over $20,000. Just check out the site... come back to me when your done of course...

Stained Glass Castles - By it's name you would assume that they make stained glass castles.... And you would be right, slap yourself on the back. They have a few small castles along with a few small houses.

Stained Glass Sprinkler - It's an interesting idea. Never made one myself, it needs a little more work - de-uglifying it. Maybe a little decorative soldering would help. But it's still a neat idea.

Animal Sculptures & Stained Glass Lamps - This site easily get's FIVE STARS. They have huge stained glass animals, and other objects done in stained glass. They also sell a mold and a how-to for one of their projects.

Stellar Images - This site is way cool. The artist is a pilot, and all of his creations are little glass planes and helicopters. There are a lot of pictures here. All of the planes are listed by there manufacturer, at last count there was 125 of them! You can also order these.

Bill Job's Little Houses - You've probably seen his work at the mall. In those little boutique stores. He makes, in great quantity, little stained glass houses. Tiny cottage's, light houses, etc., and they all light up. Some of the pictures are a little blurred, other's are scanned from a pamphlet. But there are a lot of these pictures, they're pretty neat, take a look.

Terrariums by Ron - He has pictures of his terrariums he builds, pretty large ones at that.

Susan Fullenbaum/Stained Glass/Artistic Judaic Promotions - There aren't many stained glass sites that have Jewish stuff in them, but this one does. There's aren't a lot of designs that I can see, but there's a couple of neat ideas to try.

Powell Brothers & Sons - They make some of the largest 3-D pieces I've ever seen. If I had the space I'd probably make stuff that size too. Along with the 3-D stuff they also have boxes, interesting looking lamps, Dalle De Verre, restoration, and church type windows. Definitely worth a visit.

The Kaleidoscope Gallery Listing - This site lists about dozen or so studios, some with links, of where kaleidoscopes live.

Exceptional Kaleidoscopes - His words not mine... Though in this case I'd have to agree. All of his scopes use 2 barrels, and there multi mirrored.

Nellie Bly Kaleidoscopes - The pictures really stink on this site. I think it was "art-fully intentional", and since they're selling fairly expensive things here you would think they would have better pictures. In any case, you can take a look at these, though the pictures aren't great, the ideas are.

Fabulous Kaleidoscopes by Don Ballwey - He makes some very interesting and unique looking scopes. There's some pretty neat ideas here! There are quite a few scopes here, with many views and descriptions of what your looking at.What I do with boxes, he does with scopes! Very cool site

Walt's Lamps - He makes Tiffany reproductions.

Artistic Glass of Atlanta - There are other things than lamps here, but I like the lamps best. Although the names really aren't original, the designs are.

Domes

Sierra Stained Glass Studios - This company makes stained glass domes for peoples houses.

Mixed

Canterbury's Stained Glass - They have windows, lamps, and a dome here.

Stained Glass Art Visual Catalog - There are some very creative boxes here. There's also lamps, and panels, the work looks original. Caution: the pages take a very long time to load up. The pictures look small but there are huge (file size), it takes a while to load.

His and Hers - This link will bring you to their front page. It's a husband and wife team, though it looks like the wife does the stained glass. I thought it was only fair to bring it to the front page, since the husband has midi and other neat stuff. The stained glass section has suncatchers, windows, and boxes. The works are original, and the suncatchers are adorable. My favorite is the glass guinea pig.

Janusz Pozniak Glass Art & Functional objects - Very colorful abstract art pieces.

Splendor in the Glass - They make all sorts of glass items, including animals and flowers. The pieces look machine made though.
