This page is composed of only computer related items, review sites, hardware information, etc.
The following links are dedicated to just digital cameras. Most of these sites have related digital camera news, as long with reviews, and the usual stuff that web pages have on them.
Steve's Digi-Cams - A fairly detailed site that reviews many cameras. The sample gallery of each camera is strait from the camera, no editing. Plus he takes the same pictures with each camera that he reviews. It makes it much easier to compare the quality of each camera, in some cases you can watch a tree grow or a building being made by looking at the older reviews. Steve also has digital camera news, accessory reviews, and a picture of the day contest (monthly prizes).
Mega Pixel.net - Mega Pixel.net offers reviews, articles, and a glossary. They also have a small news section and a monthly photo contest. I don't know if there's a prize though.
Digital Photography Review - This is an excellent site, I have to assume that the owner is a professional photographer. He has very in depth reviews of the camera's that reviews. Everything from wide to telephoto, color ranges, measurements, comparisons, barrel and pincushion distortion, all the way to timings and sample shots. He also runs a message board. The sample gallery offers photo's a real person would take. Though the photo's are excellent in quality, he edit's them in photoshop. Thought the photo's look nicer this way, it's not how the camera took the picture. There is an original of what the camera took, but it shouldn't be this way (the camera is being reviewed, not him)... Anyway, though the pictures are nice, he takes different pictures of things and therefore you really can't compare camera's this way on his site.
Imaging Resource - Another site that I visit daily to read the news and look at the reviews. This site also features something called a Compare-O-Meter which displays chosen graphics with all the camera's he's reviewed in the past.
PC Photo Review - Reviews, news, and Tips and Tricks. He reviews digital camera's, printers, and much more. They also have a daily caption contest, with a basic prize. There are also an assortment of theme contests.
Photo Point - Digital Camera Magazine - This is more of professional camera site. Discussing f-stops and the like. They have columns, news, and reviews.
Photography Reviews.com - Pretty self-explanatory if you ask me. They have reviews on digital cameras, big cameras, little cameras, lenses, tripods, just about anything camera related. Both professional users and amateur users review products.
All-Digital-Links.com - Gives the links to all the reviews of many popular digital cameras.
DigitalKamera.de - A German site, in English that has articles on how to take better digital pictures. Along with news, and a complete review of digital camera's.
Photo-Start - A good starting place for camera enthusiasts. Provides regular camera and digital camera links.
LoneStar Digital - Primarily a site for professional camera users. Has fairly in depth reviews and articles.
Ask the Cameraman - Reviews of a few camera's, buyer's guides, how-to's, etc. Covers both digital camera's and regular cameras.
Digi News - News for the professional digital photographers.
Digital Outback Photo - Quality outdoor photography using digital cameras. They have reviews and how to's.
Going shopping, you'll want to be smart and research what you want to buy. I have composed a list of news and reviews for product research.
Computer Games Online - The have reviews on many types of computer related hardware. Everything from speakers, to joysticks. And of course everything game related as well.
ARStechnica - Product Reviews, Tips and Tweaks, news, and much, much more.
Dan's Data - Primarily computer component information and reviews.
Storage Review.com - The title says what it is. Everything you wanted to know about storage and didn't even ask for is here. The latest news and gossip in the world of data storage.
Fast Graphics - Dedicated to primarily to video cards. They have a message board as well.
AnandTech - They offer computer hardware news and information.
CPU Central - Mostly computer and chip set news. Along with some articles.
Hardware Central - In depth articles on computers.
Tom's Hardware Guide - Perhaps one of the best sites pertaining to the computer hardware industry. In depth articles on components, computers, and hardware. Along with lots of news.
Computing Review - Cover's many computer and hardware things.
Active Buyers Guide - Provides guides and a few reviews on different types of products.
Consumer Review - Provides reviews on a variety of subjects. Written generally buy users.
Epinions - This site is a very good place to come for reviews. Each review can be rated and money can be earned based on the review given. the reviews are fairly thorough and it can help in the buying decision. They cover everything from electronics to book reviews.
Want to know if the store your about to use stinks? Check out the sites below, and see what users had to say about their shopping experience.
BizRate.com - After buying something from a store, a window popped up asking how I liked the service. BizRate tracks how long it takes to get something, and surveys people's responses. They cover all types of stores providing a merchant report card.
Ratings Wonders - Though they also sell things they also have a store review section, which is this. They have thousands of stores to choose from covering all categories.
Internet Mall - Covers many stores.
Digital Photography Online - Covers about a half dozen or so digital camera stores.
Reseller Ratings - This is a great site. Users review the stores they been to, then write a small review of their experience.
My Simon - Enter a product and it will give you a list of places to buy your product. You can sort by name, store, rating, price, etc.
Price Watch - Shows some stores, but isn't as complete as My Simon.
Deal Time - A fairly elaborate site comparing just about anything. There's also an email alert if something drops in price within a 15 day period.
I check some of these everyday. It tells me what's what in the computer world.
Geek.com -It used to be called UGeek.com. This is a very informative site that briefs other news articles from around the net. It covers: Geek news (computers and hardware), PDAGeek (PDA related news), and Game Geek (the latest rumors in the gaming world).
A codec is a small program that is associated in viewing particular types of files. These links will help narrow the search down in case you need a codec for MPG, JPEG, etc.
Anime Tools - Mostly for video and animation
Codec Central - Covers web codecs, CD-ROM/DVD-ROM/Kiosk/Presentation codecs, Hardware/Capture codecs, Editing/Storage/Special-purpose codecs, and Audio codecs. Along with related news.
Codec Warehouse - Codecs for: Movie, Video, Internet, IRC, Audio, and Internet security.
