The following is a picture from a San Francisco newspaper (without permission) that struck my fancy, since I was born and grew up in the place where the picture was shot, Hamilton, New Zealand.

The newspaper has faded over time, and since my skills are not in photography or graphics, scanning the picture didn't prove very useful initially. I also tried taking pictures with an Apple QuickTake 200 digital camera, and a Connectix Color QuickCam, but they suffered from other problems. This is the best I could do - it was scanned using Ofoto v2.0.2 on an Apple Color Scanner, as a halftone at 1200 dpi, saved as a 24 bit color PICT, and converted to a GIF after setting the RGB brightness to 100% with GraphicConverter.
