"The Preacher's Son"Speaker: Marc Adams, author of "Preacher's Son", the story of a gay boy trying desperately not to be gay because his religion said he would go to hell. So he enrolled in Jerry Falwell's Liberty University in Virginia in the hope that they would teach him how not to be gay. Of course, nothing helped. He was eventually kicked out of Liberty U. (strange name for a Christian school that will not allow its students to be the way the Creator made them!) when Marc's gay orientation was discovered.
Another student at Liberty U., Todd Tuttle, who was also kicked out for the same reason, eventually reconnected with Marc. They have been domestic and business partners.
Marc and Todd formed HeartStrong, Inc., a non-profit corporation, to fulfill the life mission they have set for themselves. They relentlessly crisscross the United States to visit conservative and fundamentalist religious schools "to provide truthful information to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, and allied persons who have attended, are attending or are employed by or associated with conservative religious educational institutions through support education, and advocacy."
